More or less. OpenOffice's last major release was in 2014, and since then there have been some tiny updates, but now it has years-old, unfixed security problems and "red" security risk status: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apache_...

Yes, OpenOffice's last major update was in 2014. There have been some small updates, but it has years-old, unfixed security problems so is strongly not recommended for production use: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apache_... – But yes, LibreOffice is there as the actively maintained successor project.

Well yes, Apache OpenOffice is ancient and unmaintained. No Linux distribution has shipped with it for years. They all moved to LibreOffice, which is actively maintained, massively improved, and used by 200 million people around the world, in businesses, organisations and governments.
