I was out for a walk and saw this giant "Thomas J needs his glasses"-ass beehive(?) in a tree. This is some cartoon shit. Go live in a box like a normal bee.

Apparently it's Cat Day. Unfortunately, I only have chaos demons (one of whom tried to push the toaster off the counter today).

Imagine you're just an empty-headed cat and the dishwasher is making the counter warm and your human has given up on making you get down.

This sunflower got knocked over and I thought it was toast, but it went ahead and kept blooming anyway. The metaphor feels a little heavy-handed, honestly.

Day's bad, post birds.
Two mourning doves on a cement driveway, just absolutely chilling as though that's a normal place for birds to hang out. Their tails are toward each other and one is slightly puffed up and resting on its belly. It was absolutely fine, the photo just caught an awkward moment of relaxation.

I only saw honeybees in my native milkweed and was kind of sad but these fellows cheered me right up!

They are the actual best company during long, boring meetings. Sometimes they pose on the freshly manicured sand and make my officemate jealous.

My native pollinator plants are starting to bloom and I've seen so many butterflies already!
