I’ve loved DeepBlueInk’s animations for a while now so obviously I am delighted by this show. Not only does it look awesome but the voice cast and the characters are wonderful. Also, if you support the patreon (for as little as one American dollar) you can see episode 4 right now.

Oooo, now I have a thing to investigate
The other night I discovered that honeysuckle vodka was A Thing and NONE OF YOU TOLD ME.

I'm not mad, really, just disappointed.

Day 4 (eventually)
So happy to have reviewed this book professionally. Shows how shallow and emotionally bankrupt ban campaigns are that this moving work has been a focal point for them. Also a lot of books e shows as high school reads were mine too and I love that.

It’s here!
(Spent a weird 4 day mini vacation in Indianapolis while I stared at tracking notifications but here now so yay)
Also shown, the first stickers that will be adorning it in addition to the label because it’s too welcoming a canvas. :D

Dinotopia is so precious to me. Partially because the teacher who introduced it started by having us all imagine and draw our own fantastical worlds. Then she showed us Dinotopia as something we could one day do with our own creations. We fought for turns checking out that book. Loved it ever since
Now with all that preliminary work behind me, I’m ready to go into full production. That means an elaborate perspective drawing, and an oil painting that took me about a month to produce.

Word of the day is ‘librocubicularist’: one who loves nothing better than reading in bed.

(Not easy to say, but I’m glad to know it exists).

On a much brighter note, Dinotopia!
I created this painting "Dinosaur Parade" in 1990, before I invented the whole concept of Dinotopia. I just wanted to give a glimpse of a lost empire that humans shared with peaceful dinosaurs.

Jumping through that picture frame and living inside the painting changed my life.

Related to this piece, why should Delaware people think she’ll fight for them when she capitulated so quickly on an issue where her skin is literally in the game? Shame on all Dems who didn’t speak out too. This isn’t derailing or frivolous as shown by the national version of this bill in play. 1/2

I love this series! Very excited for an illustrated version
I am legit so excited about this! The art I've seen so far is gorgeous, and I can't wait to see the book.

Lovely bit of video focused on Kirk and Spock with executive production provided by Gene Roddenberry’s son, Leonard Nimoy’s widow, and William Shatner. A beautiful coda youtu.be/mgOZFny7F50

Different country and all but this reminded me of the pictures my great grandfather had done of some of our cattle. This one is unfortunately damaged but the name is amazing. Who wouldn’t want a bull called Imperial Lord Fretful?

As a librarian and as someone who grew up on a farm this whole thread was incredibly touching.
Museums are houses of things.

But each object contains the memories and lifetimes of the people who made, used and cared for them—sometimes over generations—and there are moments when we see them resurface in ways we could never anticipate.

And let me be clear, I want there to be a robust working class by way of UBI, universal healthcare, a $25 minimum wage, affordable housing, etc. I want the Democrats to embrace actually progressive economic ideas. They have to do better. But to say they did nothing is false.

Women in genre are the Strid. So many people choose not to see us, to believe that only their manly manly little strip of the field matters, that we seem shallow and small. But if you step off the bank and into our depths, we'll have the flesh from your bones in the time it takes to drown.

Gonna save this list myself because the descriptions are great. Also love that it’s titled recs for mom’s friend - this kid did not care who this was for, clearly just excited to share stuff she loved. And that’s awesome.
