Got to love the idea of chasing down selfish wizards to retrieve stolen library books. To me, that suggests a variation for the mapping - the world below is unknown but the position of the books/wizards can be divined. But not any obstacles between here and there.

I suspect this is a ‘I support women’s wrongs’ kind of scenario where they’re just saying they love the character and understand her rationale.

Yeah, we’re going to try and be a split loyalty house. Aldi is opening up nearby and I do prefer them but they simply don’t stick as much stuff as the Jewel. I’m sure it will be so hard. lol

And the wild gorilla Gonzo was supposed to fight is clearly an intelligent creature capable of speech who was brought to this country from west Africa. So it could be decided that played too close to anti-Black stereotypes that call Black people to monkeys.

My guess would be either how Mulch, the hunchbacked muppet, or the “wild gorilla” muppet were portrayed (or both). Mulch’s speech, how he’s treated by others, and the mention of his kids being a museum exhibit could be seen as disparaging toward physically disabled folks.

Like ‘okay you want to find who is tying people to tracks. That takes time and the train hits the group while you’re looking, how do you feel about that? Do you think you should have taken 5 seconds to pull the lever before looking?’

Yeah, but when you phrase them like that people are more likely to say what they think they ‘should’ say rather than what they really believe. And honestly, a lot of the joking answers could be redirected back into the correct discussion.

This whole thread resonates but this bit especially. “You’re the oldest, you should know better” - if I had a nickel for every time I’d heard that, well I’d be a lot more financially stable. Sorry those 17 months didn’t make me an all-wise and benevolent creature.

The thing that gets me is that it’s officially licensed through Disney. So the company that made the movie either didn’t see a problem or assumed consumers would be overcome with nostalgia. www.bizjournals.com/losangeles/s...

Nothing surprises me there since seeing Old Yeller dog food in stores.

I don’t know but Lily would be welcome in my book club any day. <3

For purposes of being amusing while infodumping it’s a bizarre, long running soap opera. Terrible but popular with Skittermander (character species) so we can go on at length about polycule fallout, best fur styling, and space amnesia.
