Called my congressman who voted for the SAVE act.

Me: What documents will I need to vote if this passes?
Staffer: a DL and birth certificate.
Me: The documents don’t match
Staffer: Then a marriage certificate.
Me: Will my husband need the marriage certificate too?
Staffer: No
Me: See the problem?

This is terrible news. Awful. Just awful. Anyone from Missouri can vouch for me on this one.

Once again, I find myself apologizing to the country for the garbage we’ve sent to DC.

That asterisk on "didn't" is important as we keep talking about how Democrats need to be more receptive to the working class

Poverty is a major obstacle to being able to vote, and even then a lot of folks won't register or try to vote when they don't see how their vote will matter/change anything
A third of us tried to save two thirds of us from themselves.

They’re about to find out.

John Tester and Lucas Kunce both decided it was too dangerous to endorse Harris. Neither would even say whether they were voting for her.

They both lost. To voters like me, it came across as sexist. They were trying to appeal to white Trump dudes.

That’s a losing strategy.

6% of school-age children in Missouri are homeschooled.

This is double the historical average.

There's a lot of advantages to homeschooling and Missouri needs to regulate and support.
