Greeks march in huge numbers today to protest the gross inaction of the govt to bring resolution on a train disaster last year that killed several.

This image does not show violence (molotovs are very common). But it shows that the people don't take shit and are not afraid to show it.

I relied on Twitter to build my professional network as a junior tenure track faculty for years. I should have done this sooner but felt some responsibility to do good by posting in that space. I am accepting that my efforts are well spent somewhere else.

I remember thinking "every election is the most important," that this is something people say to encourage voting.
John Lewis said these words in November 2016, and he was so right. That election was truly the most important.
