Having just taught a course on Legal Analytics and AI, I saw that (a) students believe that gen AI is some form of AGI - and don't know its content blindness; and (b) are using this tech extensively and shamelessly- largely because of (a).

I saw a thread by in Archaeology that pulled together all Starter Packs into one handy thread for new people joining.

Not sure if it's been done for Law yet, so thought I'd get a thread going with a few that I've come across.

Please do share & add any other Starter Packs that I've missed.

1/4 Last week, the team at the Responders Lab came to deliver a guest session to my undergraduate family law students.

In the session, the facilitators provided a supportive, encouraging and open space for students to reflect on their own understandings and awareness of family violence.

Important advice on making any law reform submission 👇
Submissions have opened on the Treaty Principles Bill. You'll almost certainly see a lot of individuals and groups with big followings telling you to submit using a template that they provide. I am pleading with you to not do this. It's the least effective way to participate.

Having worked on these reforms in 2019-2020, I agree w @fionapatten.bsky.social that many of the arguments against reform are "bullshit".

Crucial we support these laws &:

- The legal test is lowered
- The protection extends to intersex, sex work, & homeless folks.
