i think that if you are an upper income writer living in a major urban area complaining about “the laptop class” — really, if you are a knowledge worker of any kind complaining about the “laptop class — you have an obligation to quit your job and go work in a factory for a year
Apparently Mamdani voters are the most privileged class in history AND are bitter about having no money and living in an apartment with 3 roommates into their 30s.

Pick a damn lane.

Musk has adjusted Grok’s algorithm so it’s now a neo-Nazi.

Pretty cool that almost every progressive commentator, elected official and organization still uses Musk’s X algorithm to communicate with the public! Good job guys.

They’ll come after undergrad next. Once all the pre-med and pre-law middle and lower class students switch to an education plan that stops at a B.A./B.S., they’ll say “What do they need to go to college for? They’re not becoming doctors or lawyers, they’re reading Marx. Get them in trade school”

It is not a “purity culture” issue to criticize Sabrina Carpenter’s Spinal Tap photo. There is a difference between criticizing female sexuality, and specifically criticizing the romanticization of submissiveness.

DNF-ed a novel because the protagonist trips in public and feels embarrassed. Boring. If I wanted to explore self consciousness I’d sit alone with my thoughts.
