I honestly think the US, China & Russia all understand that climate change is going to decimate land/resources within the next 25 years so they’re all winking at each other as they make a mad dash to seize control of as much as they can to insulate themselves from hard times.

I’ve found that talking about socialist ideals/policies in a more pragmatic way (i.e. how the REAL WORLD would look like if we applied socialist policies and how it would tangibly effect their lives) is a really effective way to get people to your side.

I think one of the most valuable things you can learn as a leftist/socialist is how to talk to normal people about what’s going on in the world in a way they can understand it. The majority of people simply do not have the wherewithal to understand what is going on in the world beyond “shits fucked”
