Some flowers and such for your mother
3 bumblebees on a buttonbush flower. It's shaped like a spiky cream-white ball. Two small, bright pink zinnias in the foreground, with a few more (some orange) in the background. Pink foam puzzle piece from a kid's puzzle of the United States. It is supposed to be shaped like Texas (it says "TEXAS" on it) but it's unrecognizable. I can't even describe the irregular shape, except it's the opposite of Texas.

Busy bumblebee buttonbush buffet
Three bumblebees on a single buttonbush (Cephalanthus occidentalis) flower head. It's a spherical flower head, about 1.5 inch diameter, consisting of hundreds of tiny, creamy white flowers packed into a ball. Each mini-flower has a long white style with a pair green tip sticking out of it, making the flower head look like a pin cushion. Large, straight-edged, bright green leaves are on the stem below it. A blurrier photo of the same flower head from a different angle, but now there are 4 bumblebees visible on it. A tall cutleaf coneflower plant with fading yellow flowers is in the background.

While beautiful and architectural, there's a messiness in the fine details of all those examples that doesn't match the precision in yours. I still think it's something human made, but I'd love it if I was wrong

Ha, I learned that too! Found a variety of examples but none that resemble yours
Each of these 4 photos shows a spider sitting on a mostly invisible web. Woven into each web is a white pattern called a web decoration or stabilimentum. In this first photo, the web decoration looks like roughly circular, concentric rings of zigzags. This one looks like an X. The 2 bars of the X have a cobwebby zigzag look. This one looks like a spiral. This one is a vertical bar, with the same cobwebby zigzag appearance as in the X.

Lacewing eggs are magic
Close-up photo of a cluster of about 11 lacewing eggs hanging from the underside of a leaf of swamp milkweed. The leaf is narrow (about 1/2 to 1 inch across) and long, medium green, speckled with morning dew. The lacewing eggs are tiny (smaller than a poppy seed), oval, pale green, and hang down on thin, hair-like stalks maybe 1/4" long from the underside of the leaf. They kick ass.

Some sort of bee asleep on a flower of false sunflower (Heliopsis helianthoides). Long, golden yellow petals surrounding a similarly colored center.

Tiny flowers (and ant) on sideoats grama 😍
A single stalk of sideoats grama (Bouteloua curtipendula) going horizontally across my palm. The stalk is green, and every half inch or so a cluster of green grain-like seeds hangs down off of it, all on the same side of the stalk (hence the name). At the tip of many of the seeds is a teensy tiny flower, tubular and not much thicker than a hair, maybe 1/8" long, saffron-orange at the tip and fading to yellow at the base. There are also some tiny white feathery things mixed in there, not sure what those are. Oh, and a blurry ant.

Photo of a cutleaf coneflower (Rudbeckia laciniata) plant. In the foreground is a single stem with two flowers at the tip, each coming off the stem at an angle. The petals (technically, ray flowers) are 2"-3" long, oval, and golden yellow, speckled with drops of rain. The central part of each flower (actually a cluster of 100s of tiny flowers, disc florets) is yellow-green and protrudes a bit, like a tightly closed little pinecone. On the one on the right, some of the disc florets at the base of the pinecone shape are starting to open, showing brown styles and yellow, curly, Y-shaped stigmas emerging. A fly is checking one of them out. Other (single-headed) flowers and large, deep green leaves are in the background.

I grew the hell out of this
My hand holding a Blazing Beauty tomato I grew. It's about 2.5" across. I've sliced it in half, and I'm holding it to show the cross section, showing golden-yellow flesh. (The outside, not visible, is more orange-yellow.) Greenish seeds are embedded inside. It tasted phenomenal. I'm very proud.

Halloween pennant is an amazing name for a dragonfly

Saw some life today
A harvestman / daddy long legs on the trunk of a tree. It has a rusty orange buddy with dark gray legs. Sitting on rough, gray-brown bark with patches of light gray-green lichen. These guys were on every tree trunk I looked at. A group of 7 geese swimming diagonally away from me. Single file, very organized. Light brown backs, white underneath the tail, black at the tip of the tail. Black necks and bills with a white patch on the side of the head going under like a chinstrap. A bee (bumblebee?) on common milkweed. The flowers are in shades of pink and are arranged in a sphere about 4" in diameter. The leaves are oval, medium green, about 6-8" long. I'm the background is the surface of a pond, green-black in this photo, topped with scattered lily pads. An eastern painted turtle (I think) sitting in the middle of a gravel path. A dark brown-green shell with a few pale brown irregular stripes going from side to side. Also what looks like dried pond scum on the rear part of the shell. It's facing mostly away from me, with its head (dark green with yellow stripes) turned up and to the right. It was just fine with being in the middle of the path. Some other lady picked it up and moved it.
