Figuring out post-Army life in the PNW. Lots of Mom-Posting. She/Her.

You know what has a 100% fatality rate once symptoms start to appear? Rabies.

I do not like Elon Musk, AT ALL, but Joyce is over here dropping casual nukes on him. It's beautiful but terrible to behold.

The ones I watched, when they referred her to a food pantry she lied, said she had already called them, and claimed they had nothing.

This is going to raise red flags for scams for a lot of churches, who often have close relationships with the pantries they support and know when resources are low.

I say this as someone who is not a currently practicing member of any religious organization. The churches are still the main donors in our area. They're the ones who run what homeless shelters we do have. If they weren't providing that support, homeless people would be even more fucked.

If you deter people from donating to their churches to help with those services, *no one* is coming in to pick up that slack.

We've been using it on my laptop, which has a touch screen. I do think the touch screen aspect helps as my kids are able to draw out the math problems right on the screen, but you could do them with a pencil and paper next to the computer if you have to.

In April of his fourth grade year, my kid was scoring at a beginning of third grade level for math and reading. By being able to see what specific skills he was struggling with, we were able to pinpoint focus on those areas over the summer and now two months into fifth grade he's at grade level.

The diagnostic pinpoints the areas they are struggling with, and also directs you back to foundational skills to work on if your student is still struggling with the skill the program directs them to focus on. You can go back and forth between grade levels to catch up.
