I understand possessive investment in material prosperity! I get it. But not to the exclusion of the safety of vulnerable people. That voice that says "why are they destroying..." STOP. Think about the violence and oppression that CAUSED that response. Don't get it twisted.

I'll be blunt: the Nazis knew better than to burn the Louvre. They knew destroying prized property would get more people into the streets of Paris than kidnapping entire neighborhoods of Jewish people. And they were right. White folk fetishize property & not vulnerable people. Stop doing that!

But even if every federal worker were fired, it wouldn’t make a dent in the massive deficit increase Trump is proposing. The total federal employee payroll amounts to $271 billion—nowhere near enough to offset the trillions being added to the debt. So what’s the purpose here?
