Had a boss once who defined a ‘griefer’ as a customer whose toxic behavior costs you more money than he gives you. Once you use this lens the business case is clear.

Having worked in community management, it's also crucial that the powers-that-be approve of your doing this and that they won't have a fit over you driving away a "paying customer" (who also happens to be a massive jerk).
