That old guy who still writes about the Philadelphia Eagles, now for PHLY. Annoys w/dad jokes, social commentary. Fan of what Twitter used to be. Also of rescue Pit Bulls. Husband/dad. Grew up in the South way back when progress actually seemed possible.

When Nick Sirianni says “it’s never just one thing, or one person’s fault,” what I hear is: “We can’t fix this.”
That was Nick’s theme today after the collapse at Dallas.

The Trump administration inherited an economy that the Economist called "the envy of the world" in a cover story a week before the election and easily could've coasted on that success (again) but instead they set it on fire.

The Eagles’ defense played 74 snaps Sunday, which is a lot.

There's only one thing that could stop the Rams right now, and that is a magazine profile of Sean McVay written by Olivia Nuzzi.

In the last 10 years, only two teams have produced 8+ wins through Week 12 despite having a negative point differential:

The 2020 Browns (-21)
The 2025 Bears (-3)

Dump it to the back or run it yourself and you either get the first down or you’re very close. Or you could just stand there, take the sack and lose the game.
Watching back the 3rd and 2 sack at the 2 min mark--Dallas' coverage was outstanding. This is at the 3 second mark. Check our rookie CB Revel Jr at the top!

Even when the Eagles’ offense is working, it falls apart once the opponent makes a few adjustments. That isn’t a talent issue. That’s coaching.

Sirianni can give us the mushmouth answers but he also has to face Lurie and Roseman. I think they might want something more substantial.

The Eagles’ defensive backfield isn’t as good as it looked in bad weather the past two weeks. Take away Jackson and Blankenship with injuries and it isn’t good at all. DeJean isn’t an outside corner and Sydney Brown is useless.

Note to the Eagles Postgame Live crew: you can’t keep running the ball if you don’t ever gain yardage.

Eagles were called for 14 penalties for 96 yards.

Can’t wait to hear Sirianni’s BS after this.

If nothing else, this surely forces Sirianni to reckon honestly with what is happening with this offense, instead of hiding behind the lucky W.

Needed to go for that in fourth and 5. Slant to AJ Brown. Totally forgotten

This is really incredible. Officials have more than made up for the roughing the punter penalty early in the game. My god.
November 24, 2025 at 12:01 AM
That is a ridiculous call on DeVonta Smith.

Kellee Ringo = penalty. Every time
November 23, 2025 at 11:49 PM
Corner isn’t allowed to drive on the ball. That evens up the missed call on the punt early in the game
