Wouldn’t @mcuban.bsky.social be an interesting replacement for our current HHS Secretary? Someone who wants to aggressively, and yet sanely, challenge the status quo…

One-sided choices from fear and ignorance. Marginalizing all experiences but white men, many who promote division, is the antithesis of Hegseth’s claim of a united, focused military. This disgusts me as a Southerner exposed to diversity promoting unity. Understanding and empathy are key to success.

Can I just say WTF? Republicans are beyond the pale in using abusive tactics and now they complain when Dems finally stoop to dirty pool too? When good old Mitch held up the Supreme Court nominations, gloves are OFF!! 🧵

Do you think our president is trying to play real world Risk with this talk of spheres of influence? If so, have they realized the easiest strategy is to take over Australia and hunker down till everyone else destroys one another before sweeping out and conquering the world? 😂

While I applaud any elected Republican taking a loud, public stance against current exec policy, this is hypocrisy or utter blindness. How can he speak out against authoritarianism and “bullies” while he lodges “yay” votes in favor of authoritarian action? Shocking. Worthless. A puff of air.

“Protection rackets” is the correct phrase. Organized crime syndicates have “protection rackets”—it’s not true foreign policy. It’s beneath the world’s leading democracy to publicly demand gratitude in exchange for support. It makes us look WEAK, not strong.

So demoralizing that this law firm under Paul Weiss has stained his profession. This is the law firm that assisted Thurgood Marshall in Brown v Board of Education, and represented Gitmo detainees. How far they have fallen.
It is a sad day for the legal industry. Paul Weiss, didn't just bend a knee, it set a new standard for shameful capitulation. This is a stain on the firm, every one of its partners, and the entire legal profession.
