Here's a screen shot of your post. Looks like you're saying you have a lot of work since the Graduate Center made a new hire.

Just listened to your very nice talk on my daily walk. Makes perfect sense to consider ensembles rather that individual neurons. Have not listened to the Q&A yet, so my question may have come up. Is there any (math) theory that shows that analog computing is as, or more, powerful than digital,

Excellent questions! Though written clearly with human consciousness in mind, Manuel Blum and I addressed them from the vantage point of our formal mathematical model, the Conscious Turing Machine (CTM). See our paper, "AI Consciousness is Inevitable", in arXiv arxiv.org/pdf/2403.17101

Excited & a bit nervous to be talking in BreakthroughDiscuss at Oxford, April 23 (&24). I will outline the formal co-evolution of Brainish & the Model-of-the-World in the Conscious Turing Machine, core to its subjective consciousness.Talk is max 18 minutes,so let's see what I can do.

We have an arXiv paper on "free will" in the context of the Conscious Turing Machine (CTM). May be of interest. See, arxiv.org/pdf/2206.139...
For an overview of the CTM, see Section 2 of "AI Consciousness is Inevitable": arxiv.org/pdf/2403.17101
