I’m so mad about Labour dropping the day one protection from unfair dismissal. It just feels like they have no idea what some workplaces are like. This comment from Rachel Reeves yesterday just sounded so heartless.

This seems decidedly dystopian. The advent of the ‘one-click’ application is having huge impact - employers swamped by applications, closing job ads early, and savvy applicants working out ways to get past the AI screening system.
