This is all happening with the third verse of one of the covers I'm working on, which needs some outside the box thinking. I suspect I've now left the continent containing said box, but big picture this is the kind of stuff I most want to do.

I might be able to post an excerpt this weekend.

I think next time Jehovah's witness folks come by I'm going to ask them to give me all the Watchtowers and whatever they can and tell me everything they can about their religion, then next time a FiOS sales guy comes by I'll be ready.

That company name sounds REALLY familiar. Like, I think they came across my screen literally last night when I was looking for rotary speaker plugins. But I ended up widdling my choices down to UAD and Eventide. Went with UAD.

I have a real unix mentality with stuff like this. Just give me a thing that does one job and does it well and efficiently and I'll pipe into whatever else I need. Synth plugins these days lean so goddamn hard into pieces of flair and they so rarely feel musical to me. More like lab equipment.

There are only one or two things I disagree with. In particular, I'm less critical of Firefox than he is and much more critical of Brave. Or should I say Brave's founder. Multiple Problematic Views And Behaviors.

For Reasons owing to verbal problems and other things I've long wanted to do pieces in which the human voice becomes kind of unsettling. Not in like a cookie monster vocals "I'm gonna kill eat your family, hail Satan" kind of way, but in uncanny, unfamiliar ways.

For this entire century I've wanted to do things where I fuck with spoken or sung vocals at a fundamental level, where the very components of the voice are going off the rails as opposed to just slapping a glitch effect on the track or whatever. I'll definitely be using it in my cognitive piece.
