hastily drawn cartoon comic w four panels. The first shows a very normal looking lady with a Stanley and a shirt with a candy heart that says “dry hump” on it. The second panel is me, a library worker w green hair and baby bangs, my eyes bugging out of my head. The third panel is the same as the first, except the shirt says “dump him” now, which it actually did say all along. The last panel is the same as the second, except I’m making a face of shell-shocked understanding.

"new dangers" 4-panel comic, ink and colored pencil panel 1: a very young student sitting at a lunch table says to someone next to him, "there's a new poppy playtime character--" miss z, an iranian trans woman and teacher, stops in her tracks as she's passing by and exclaims in shock, "WHAT?!" panel 2: miss z is kneeling down to the student's eye level and says to him, "listen, buddy, kindergarten is too young for scary games, ok? stick to good stuff like sonic and pokémon and kirby--" the kid interrupts, "and mario?" miss z confirms, "yes! and mario." panel 3: the two are pinky swearing. miss z asks, "pinky promise you'll wait to play or watch scary things until you're old enough?" the boy answers, "i pinky promise!" panel 4: miss z is walking away, worrying and wringing her hands. she thinks, "no way of knowing if he'll keep that promise or not... well, at least i did my due diligence. why don't the parents do theirs? i don't think we had all this stuff in my day..."
