How’s his track record on time travel? Because that’s the only way we’re getting back to those days.
Hassett: "The president has a proven track record on affordability and healthcare and it's this: If you go back and look at our first term, we had 2 years in a row where the consumer price index for drugs went negative."

One of the smartest DC observers I know has been touting the idea of a Wes Moore-Gina Raimondo ticket in 2028. Don’t @ me. Just reporting notable buzz when I hear it.

I read novels that casually mention the use of the double tap to finish off combatants.

Is this truly an unused practice in special operations situations? Is Hegseth bringing some existing culture to leadership?
⚡️Why is double-tapping on the battlefield wrong?

One armed heroic citizen could have really exercised some 2nd Amendment measures here.
Local police officers and sheriffs in Mobile, Alabama, are abducting a man from the waiting room of a car dealership mechanic shop on behalf of ICE/DHS. During the kidnapping, he is administered an unidentified sedative.

Respectfully, Chris, you spelled “depression” wrong.
Obviously Trump hasn’t helped himself with the tariffs but fundamentally people want the price level to come down and the only clear way for a president to do that is engineer a recession (which he may very well do!)
Trump is absolutely cratering on economy in new Marquette poll:

Overall econ approval: 36-64
On tariffs: 37-63
On inflation/cost of living: 28-72 (!!!)

"We’re looking at a really grim downward spiral for Trump," says @timothynoah.bsky.social. All on the pod:

“The dog that didn’t bark” is the absence of the expectation. They expected to hear from trump that he was being approached by the authorities but he didn’t say a word. Because he ratted them out while omitting any details that made incriminated himself.

My takeaway from Epstein document dump was that Jeffrey Epstein in 2018/early 2019 was increasingly telling people he had dirt on Trump and Trump knew everything about child sex ring. To protect Trump's re-election campaign, Trump's DOJ charged Epstein in July 2019. Then Epstein committed "suicide."

If we had Medicare for All, all those gainfully employed insurance claim deniers would be freed up to do something useful
I wonder how many billions of dollars a year is wasted in the US just fighting with health insurance deductible/copay/approval/coverage lies.

Like, there's a whole apparatus at every level employing probably tens of thousands of people just to fight on either side of that scam
