Troy Carter is the bomb. I know him. I love him. He is the best. And all I can hope is stuff like this just continues the questioning that highlights the moronic actions being taken right now.

Any resources to help deal with dementia? She is 72 and had brain cancer (cancer free for 15 years) treated with surgery and whole brain radiation. Brain fried. We are in angry repeat daily stuff. Blames us for a lot. Long term fine. We were given control because of cancer so that’s not a problem.

@padilla.senate.gov is spot on. “It is because of the contributions of immigrants” can be said about so much in America, including its founding. The vast majority of us would not be here without someone in our family immigrating. This entire situation is frightening. We stand with you Senator.
Listen to this great American. This nation is privileged to have a man of this character in the United States Senate. Thank you @padilla.senate.gov. We stand with you.

I’ll tell you what. If you voted for Trump, and now it’s coming back to bite you, I don’t want to hear about how sad you are. I want to know what you’re gonna do about it. Start there.

The deployment of federalized National Guard troops to California, without consent from local or state officials, is deeply troubling. These are tactics seen in authoritarian regimes, not in America. We want to be clear, the military should not be used to police civilians.

This is what I say too!
I don’t know how many times we have to say this, but the U.S. government is not a business and shouldn’t be run like one. It’s a service—for the people.

Dealing with UHC now for my aunt who had brain surgery. They discharged her even though no one at the facility thought she should leave. She fell an hour into assisted living and is back at the hospital again waiting on UHC to determine care instead of her doctors. This is terrible.

The new GOP tax bill gives the richest Americans (making over $4.3 million) an average tax cut of over $389k—while working families earning $17k-$51k will lose $700 a year on average. It’s a slap in the face to hardworking families who need tax relief the most.

THIS! All of this!!! @markhamillofficial.bsky.social as the young nerdy girl who got picked on because I preferred my Star Wars figures (still have them) to Barbies, this made my day. I knew my love of Star Wars would come in handy, I just wish it wasn’t because of an actual Evil Empire though.
Who could've guessed joining a make-believe Resistance against an Evil Empire would ever happen in real life?

Because of a Medicare Advantage plan, my aunt had to move from a rehab hospital, despite making great progress, to an
assisted living facility, when no one caring for her thought it was time. Not 4 hours after moving, she fell. A solid month of progress out the window. We can do better.

RFK Jr. says childhood vaccines weren’t tested and that COVID boosters need full trials every year.
That’s not how vaccines—or science—work. Time for a #FactCheckFriday!

Let’s talk about how vaccines are tested, and how this kind of talk puts real people at risk.

It’s been a long four days which actually seem like a month. I have learned to never do #Medicare #Advantage. We had a hell of a week with an Advantage plan who issued a 48-hour discharge notice on a Friday evening. We were not moving to a Medicare facility. 1/2
