I mean I wish he did not gush about how wonderful the President is and how great a Christian display the Charlie Kirk funeral was. It's less his silence and more his open admiration that I have a problem with.

Love how this is a resounding “fuck you” to a lot of his voters, and it won’t change his approval in the slightest.

Yeah my only point was that Christian Democracy would absolutely be called socialism by Americans, but that was the *conservative* position in Europe and much of Latin America.

The best thing that could have happened to the reputation of the prequels is the release of the shitty fan-fic sequel trilogy.

Also, Christian Democracy was like THE premier movement among conservative Catholic Europeans in the 20th century and by EWTN standards it might as well be Bolshevism.

Also even if we might have made bad choices in the past and do bear *some* blame (I don’t mean in this case specifically just some cases abstractly), there’s nothing to be done about that now.

Yeah but I think they had to optics and the polls on their side. Of course the R side was just “we will continue to make everything deliberately worse”. But I don't feel like this particular group did this because they were feeding the people’s pain

Wasn’t the strategy supposed to be force them to cave on this *one* issue, though? Like, you’re not getting concessions on anything else, but if you could make them at least extend the subsidies, then you’ve won.
Of course they really were/are willing to let it all burn so as not to compromise

That’s what I mean. Though millions of people, it’s a minority of insurance holders, and how many of them were voting R in the first place?
