Why SupplySupplySupply won’t solve #housing affordability problem

What you’re witnessing is a populist assault on the BBC.

This is not an institutional scandal in any meaningful sense of the word. It is an attack on public service broadcasting.

80% of reform MPs were privately educated vs. 7% of the population as a whole. It can only be a matter of time before Pochin hits out at this egregious over-representation. Any day now…

Six weeks ago, I picked up a year-old tawny owl with a broken leg off the main road near our home and dropped him off at our nearest vet.

After a few days, I received one of the most bizarre phone calls I’ve ever had, asking “So when are you coming to pick up your owl?” 🧵

Here's a thread about the Conservative councillor who came up with an imaginative way to block a solar farm.

His colleague's further point - about the lack of a strategy to handle multiple applications for solar farms - is not quite so daft. It's called "planning".
A solar farm that could have powered “all the households in Witney” has been refused permission by West Oxfordshire District Council. Councillors were concerned about the risk of fire, one drawing parallels to the 1966 Aberfan disaster: “Until someone can guarantee it is safe, I can’t support it.”

Lucy Connolly was convicted of inciting racial hatred, and her tweet was part of the tinder that lit violence, intimidation, looting, and thuggery across England last year.

The fact Reform conference gave her a standing ovation says everything about that movement.

Reform is a hot mess of race-baiters, grifters, political rejects, climate science deniers and very rich, very selfish dickheads.

But a dull-witted minority think they’re worth a go because they’re “authentic”.

Yes. Authentically ignorant, racist, corrupt, nasty and next-level useless.
