If you rely on SNAP it almost certainly makes sense to you that they just fucking hate you that much — it will almost certainly make sense to you that they want to starve you and blame Democrats for it. (Even the Solicitor General's own papers make that clear.)

Do not assume that Justice Jackson will vote against SNAP, as we discussed during the live what she did tonight was harm reduction.

I do not know if there are 5 votes on the Supreme Court for feeding 42 million Americans, but there are at least 3.

A good point as well -- having more kids puts more burden on women, removing them from the work pool and, in the mind of this administration at least, forces them into subservient family service.

They want the desperate rookeries of the Victorian slums. They want women to lose control of their reproductive lives, to make everyone even MORE afraid of falling into poverty all the time, to create a vast reserve army of the unemployed. A poorer country is desirable, if they get more power.
