WOW: Pamela Hemphill, who served prison time for Jan. 6 said she will not accept Trump’s pardon. “We were wrong that day. We broke the law. Accepting a pardon would only insult the Capitol Police officers, rule of law and, of course, our nation,” Hemphill told the BBC. thehill.com/regulation/c...

I don't understand the bathroom thing. I was just in France, and many of the public toilets were for everyone. They had stalls with walls and doors to the floor. Everyone used them, and it was no big deal. It was the same when I was in Denmark a few years ago. What is wrong with people in the US?

I have taught this story many times.
A 1941 short story by Argentine writer Jorge Luis Borges eerily foreshadowed today's internet challenges, imagining a vast library where truth is buried in an ocean of gibberish.

The parallels to our current online landscape are striking. https://buff.ly/3UZWKXA

An 83-year-old short story by Borges portends a bleak future for the internet
Borges imagined an endless library that contained every possible permutation of letters. The truth is out there, but it’s embedded among hoards of lies and gibberish.

Does it matter if Mary Shelley was bisexual?
Her letters show that the author turned to women after her husband’s death. It’s an important insight into intimate history – and an inspiring example
