This Is All Our Rulers Are Offering Us

"The AI-generated clip looks fake and creepy, and everything about Musk’s post is downright depressing. But it’s not quite as fake, creepy and depressing as the capitalist dystopia which birthed it."

If it was your mission to be a fear-monger and you were looking for some climate indicator to hang your hat on, and it was sometime 2010-2013 or so, and you were looking at this data, then forecasting the rapid decline of Arctic sea-ice and a near-term blue ocean event would look like a slam-dunk.

The atmosphere on a hotter planet can hold more water. Each 1°C increase in surface temperature increases the capacity to hold water vapor by about 7%.

1.5°C anomaly ≈ 11% more water vapor.

This graph shows the 12-month running average for the "total column precipitable water." You can see it!

The journalists that aren't corrupt are not on the news in mainstream media outlets. They are on alternative media outlets like substack and are funded by the people directly, or they died trying to tell us the truth. Chris Hedges is one of my favorites that I follow.
