I think I'm in an abusive relationship with #Silksong

I went to bed saying to myself that I'm done, I need something simpler, something with a story. Then I woke up and I'm looking at maps and reading lore and I can't wait to go home so I can play more.

Exposing our future officers to precisely one political ideology and pushing out the other is incredibly dangerous. This is how you create brain-drain in the highest funded military in the world.
The Naval Academy cancelled a freakin' Ken Burns documentary showing, not because of the content, but because Burns had been critical of Trump

Reminders:

"Concentration camps" aren't the same as "extermination camps." Both were/are horrific.

Most Nazi camps were *outside Germany*, away from the eyes of German citizens.

Those trains? Were to, uh, deport the category of people whose lives were deemed unimportant.

Never again is now.

I'm 18. The economy enters a once-in-a-century recession. A Republican president is responsible.

I'm 29. There is once-in-a-century pandemic that leads to a once-in-century-recession. A Republican is responsible.

I'm 35. Tarriffs trigger a once-in-a-century recession. A Republican is responsible.

The new Indiana Jones game is blowing my mind. Its use of HRTF - the way it can “throw” sound - is the best I’ve seen in the industry. I often believe I’m hearing sounds behind me, like they’re in the room with me.

I think constantly: if it was me that was killed, 2 officers would have shown up at my apartment to tell my wife to shrug their shoulders and say there's nothing they can do. How many millions of dollars are we throwing at the NYPD to find nothing right now?
This Fox segment on the search for the shooter is incredible. Look at how the NYPD searches Central Park lol

I don't want to sound alarmist or anything, but I'm not sure it's a good idea to skip FBI background checks and bury congressional ethics reports about nominees to the most important posts in the federal government.

I wish we had more people in government like AOC.
The ironic thing about post election chatter is that a lot of the time it’s candidates who lost, underperformed, or underworked who have endless time to go on TV and share their blame story.

And for their part, journalists rarely EVER ask if that person actually ran a functionally solid campaign

There's going to be so many Latino Trump supporters who get rounded up for mass deportation and they're going to inevitably say "I didn't think he was talking about me."

trump is the ultimate blank slate. he is so incoherent that voters will project anything and everything onto him. meanwhile, he is the vehicle for the most radical group of reactionaries this country has produced since the fire eaters

Amber Thurman was 28 years old. She loved being a mom to her six-year-old boy.

Her last words to her own mother: "“Promise me you’ll take care of my son.”

Her son will grow up without his mom because of Donald Trump's Dobbs' decision and Georgia's MAGA abortion ban.
