Tonight's dream: I was writing Star Trek fic and sniggering to myself inventing Vulcan names -- S'nare, S"nope, S'nice and I think S'matcha but even in the dream I was puzzling over how it has the wrong number of letters, forgot the female conventions for names tho so none of those.

Tonight's dream: I was writing Star Trek fic and sniggering to myself inventing Vulcan names -- S'nare, S"nope, S'nice and I think S'matcha but even in the dream I was puzzling over how it has the wrong number of letters, forgot the female conventions for names tho so none of those.
I think I have almost successfully done fried rice and the answer was of course "make the pan super hot and use a lot of oil" anyway I scrambled some farm eggs into it with some chili crisp and it was great thanks

Tried a slightly cheater method of making chicken rice in the instant pot which worked out pretty well -- cook the chicken first in water and whatever flavoring you want and then cook the rice in the fluid. Less chance of burn messages but you don't get the browned rice at the bottom :(

Chicken rice! Take some chicken thighs and slap them in an instant pot with some rice, cook ten minutes on medium, release pressure after ten minutes, put some spinach in and the lid back on for a couple minutes.
