I also was stuck in this weird situation where I accidentally created a fanbase of final fantasy fans because I hyper-fixated on final fantasy for a while and after doing so I didn’t want to let thousands of people down by posting stuff they didn’t want to watch 😅 so I just left the channel to die

I stopped posting there because of quality creep, it happens to so many creators I know. You start a second channel for more casual stuff, and you end up with growing standards for quality until it eclipses your ability to post frequently and you’re left in the same position as your main channel lol

Hmmmmm, you definitely raise some good points, although I’m not sure it was intentional even if your angle definitely works as an analysis. It’s something to consider anyway, appreciate the input!

For sure. Something I’ve long had an issue with is how disconnected Connor is from the rest of the Desmond Saga. There was a real through line connecting Altair, Ezio and Desmond and Rev concludes that without concluding Desmond, which left AC3 in a really tough spot.

Yeah we hit 1k patrons a month or two ago, so it’s now on my to do list. I’m planning to do a lot of reading about the history and really give it a fair crack. My opinion on AC3 has kinda been based on my first playthrough in 2012, since then I’ve never revisited it properly other than as a joke.

I really vibed with Yotei & had good fun with DS2, but KCD2 was one of the best RPGs I've ever played with a genuinely remarkable narrative. Blue Prince and Silksong are also highly talked about, looking forward to getting around to them eventually. Hades 2 and Dispatch as well.

I think a lot of competitive games can end up quite anti-art, but I don’t think it’s being competitive that does that. I think martial arts, a highly competitive sport, is an art, I mean it’s in the name of the sport and the best fighters treat it as such too. I don’t think games are different.

I definitely get that and I think BB is a much grander story with higher stakes, and that obviously is going to be more exciting, it’s the main show, it’s the bigger story, I get enjoying it more for sure (I love it). I just think on a critical level BCS is only an improvement in every aspect.
