I have been genuinely loving Yotei. It’s got its flaws and in some cases they are plentiful, but it’s also such a clear and wonderful evolution of what Tsushima began.
I’m absolutely pumped to start writing about this, I think I have plenty of value to say.

I have been genuinely loving Yotei. It’s got its flaws and in some cases they are plentiful, but it’s also such a clear and wonderful evolution of what Tsushima began.

Overall though, I’m having lots of fun. Yet to be seen if the story pans out well, but from a structural, explorative and mechanical experience, it develops mostly only in good ways. (Extra frog pic because I thought he looked quite stoic)

Only 15 hours in but I feel Yotei remedies so many issues I had with Tsushima, while at the same time creates other “problems”. I also think it often compromises on its artistic vision for the sake of convenience or engagement, at the cost of important V I B E S. Will be interesting to write about!

Revisiting Ghost of Tsushima was kinda essential for me because it reminded me of why I truly loved so much of it back in 2020, but also the glaring flaws in it's design that I deeply hope Yotei can address.
