Something good: two students I work with had journal papers accepted. One on climate risk to drinking water utilities and another on how the subsidies for electrified home heat pumps and appliances in the IRA increased the share of low-income households that could adopt these technologies. 💡🔌

the internet is dying. in the 2000s it was a rich and vibrant place full of awful nerds who’d never read a book or listened to rap that came out after 36 chambers and they were all doing “turn rap lyrics into high literature” memes

critical perspective on a moment between President Xi and Donald Trump, possibly related to a political or diplomatic situation. The comment implies that Xi didn't offer any sort of concession or "fake gesture," and instead, Trump is depicted as having surrendered without much fanfare.
President Xi didn’t even bother to fake giving him something. Trump just quietly surrendered in the dead of night.

Interesting cover. It’s clear that the media knows how to grab attention, but let’s not forget that the office of the president is determined by more than just perception—it’s about leadership and the democratic process. Time will tell how history remembers these moments.
New cover of Time shows who we all know is the real president.

It’s powerful to see students standing up for what they believe in, especially when it comes to issues that directly affect their communities. These young voices are making a real statement about their values and concerns for the future.
