Exciting news! We’re thrilled to announce that tapir Yuna gave birth to a rare and endangered Malayan tapir calf Sunday night. The newborn, covered in distinctive white spots and stripes resembling a fuzzy walking watermelon, is only the second tapir born in our 120-year history.

We figured out how symbiotic algae interact with developing salamanders--physiology, evolution, and ecology. We are currently exploring that relationship for potential therapeutics--translation from fundamental science to human impacts. Curiosity and utility.

Did u know? In modern times when most land has to work for humans, like being built on, or farmed, why not give a gift back to nature by letting your own outside space have the luxury of a rest. Leave yr lawns as no-mow areas. Places where wildflowers & small souls can thrive. 🌱🌿🐝🪲🐙🦋🐦⬛🐞🐛
