There were many posters for the original Star Wars. That was about the best but I don't remember that it was used often. There was a popular but TERRIBLE poster that came out in the fall of 1976 (poor character depiction) & the next was out in 1977 I think.

I was on the Mall (down by the Lincoln Memorial as I don't like being in the middle of crowds) watching the Inaguration. It was a GREAT day! I've been to many protests & other events on the Mall; never saw so many happy people there as on Obama's Inauguration Day.

As much as I want to go to the big rally for @KamalaHarris, I don’t think my legs can handle the many lines required to attend (spinal stenosis sucks). I went to downtown & visited this massive Kamala mural. Good luck Kamala & we will be voting for you tomorrow morning!!

Jim & I attended Capricon this weekend for the first time. It was fun to be in downtown Chicago, attending and not working on a con. Since Boskone is next weekend, at least 10 people at Cap will be in Boston in the next few days, including us. Also - our first hotel room with a lake view!

No, actually he wasn't active in the Central Catholic SFS, he just happened to be with us when we attended a mini reunion of the group in the early '80s. He was more of a music and comics fan and a reader most of his life and worked for a while at Eide's Comics.

Howard Waldrop has died at 77. I didn’t know him, but I liked his writing & I was at Capclave in 2013 for the infamous “Howard, George & Gardner Show,” available on YouTube. We all laughed a lot that night. A photo from Capclave 2013, Howard is on the left.
