Dear Walmart,

Consideeing you have more employees on SNAP than any other company — instead of simply having a ‘cheaper’ Thanksgiving bundle, how about giving your underpaid employees who must rely on SNAP for survival, one for free? It’s the least you can do. And I stress, the LEAST…

Going thru security this morning at DCA, I see the TSA officers working and the looks of anger on their faces are palpable. They haven't been paid in nearly a month (same with all government workers)
Working and not getting paid for it... tracks how donald likes to operate. Pay the workers!

It was a good start for Democratic victories last night. Glad to see women win in Virginia & New Jersey, the Pennsylvania justices win their retention fight, the next generation New York mayor win (something needed for ages) & Democrats win Prop 50 in California! They said it couldn't be done!

it's time for journos to start asking Johnson meta questions

"Speaker, on 5 occasions last week you said 'I haven't seen it' when asked about news events w/big implications for public policy. Do you ever read the news, and do you agree it's problematic for the Speaker to be so woefully uninformed?"

“The Trump administration and Mike Johnson are running a pedophile protection program; that’s what they’ve been doing, and that’s the reason why they refused to swear in Representative-elect Adelita Grijalva," Jeffries said at a press conference.

Today, Mike Johnson will keep the House adjourned for the 85th day out of the last 97.

12 days of work in over 3 months.

With full pay and benefits.

The senate has been working, so this is not about the shutdown.

It is about avoiding a vote to release the Epstein files.

Historians will know this period in the history of the US Congress as the "Epstein shutdown."
Mike Johnson has now had the House adjourned for 73 out of the last 85 days.

While I can't go to a protest this Saturday, I still acknowledge Saturday, October 18 as NO KINGS day!

While over 750,000 federal workers go unpaid, moms & kids lose WIC, and millions fear losing healthcare, Trump is golfing on our tax dollars.

The predator who shut down the government for power now plays while Americans suffer.

Speaking of misogyny....There's something so weird about Japan having a female leader before the US will. When I was younger, I assumed I'd live to see a female president. Now it feels almost impossible, especially if the Trumpian dictatorship fully forms.

Every headline should read "Health in America is entirely broken when malicious fools like this are permitted to drive policy" or words to that effect. It's not editorializing, it is simply observable fact.

Just sayin’ Feels like people want names but not to support the victims. When does the supporting the victims start for what happened to them as children? When does the political stop and the humanity start? When does the decency start? Asking for a few thousand (?) friends.. #BelieveVictims ⚖️💔💙🩷🍀
