Grateful to know my Jesus, elementary teacher, love my family and hiking and quilting and reading and art.
Just spent two hours making butterscotch meringue pie. Went through yolk in the egg whites, a broken plate all over the floor, tears from the child, random neighbor visit, laughter, and an 'oh no it's an hour past bedtime' panic. It better be good when we eat it tomorrow!

My latest quilt is finished! Looking for beauty where our eyes cannot usually see it. Look up crows in UV light if you never have.

With my firsties today we learned a bit about fish. In the video were sarcastic fringehead fish. Scary, beautiful, super weird! I want to know why their name was allowed to stay.

Also, the news felt like this when I looked today. Gonna stop looking I think.

Yesterday we got a snow day! I was a real live grown up and did my taxes and shoveled. Then my little kid brain told me to go play. It was beautiful and deep, not even deer tracks. So peaceful. And wet. Already melting through the magic of March.

Great snowballs thrown into trees though.

Best part of a fresh 6 inches is watching my son make a snowman with his niece. So cute!

Plus the neighbor blew out my drive so I didn't have to shovel. Love that!

The "snowman" in the front yard makes me smile. No discernible balls, just a pile of snow, not very high. But the mouth! She says it is singing. I guess arms don't matter 😂

I picked a full spectrum with a regular looking light bulb since I put it in an average light socket. I don't know the brand, I'm not picky. All 5 was too much and things died. 2 was just right

Finished quilting my gnome quilt! That fleece backing was a one of a kind choice. Snowflakes instead of stippling because it just wouldn't behave. Glad it's finished!

Beautiful day in the woods. Misty since the rain washed away all the pretty snow.
