I talk business, migration and digital transformation. Venezuelan to the core

There is an urgent need to find legal pathways outside the US for migrants who until now were under temporary protection. Because of their qualifications, many of them could alleviate labor shortages in high-income countries, such as those in Europe www.nytimes.com/2025/05/30/u...

Urge encontrar vías legales fuera de Estados Unidos para los migrantes que hasta ahora estaban bajo protección temporal. Por sus calificaciones muchos de ellos podrían paliar escasez de mano de obra en países de altos ingresos, como los europeos.

A total violation of humans rights and due process. How can we Americans l accept tthat? Even if they illegal immigrants! They have rights.

At least three men have died at Krome in the past five months.

Asylum seeker with work permit. Detained by ICE during check in. “Friends [and] neighbors … wrote letters about him being a good and up-standing person … to present at [scheduled] hearing” that never occurred. Disappeared from NC. Flown on illegal transports last weekend. Found on list leaked Thurs.

Is it legal for Border Control officers to search devices? On what ground? It seems to me an invasion of privacy that goes above the mandate of the agency.
None of that offers real protection. US Border control can search devices. Good OPSEC is not rocket science though. This approach works:
Travelling to a conference in the USA?

Basic opsec for academics and scientists.

- use a burner phone. Leave other devices at home.
- take presentations/documents on a new USB key.
- Create a new email address for the trip.

This will not guarantee entry.

This is a bizarre, unhinged, totally made-up conspiracy theory.

Immigrants who are not lawfully present in the United States get zero dollars of Social Security, Medicare, or Medicaid.

Labor mobility can be a powerful tool for developing poor countries by enabling people to escape poverty and upgrading skills. It also facilitates economic growth in wealthier nations, but providing paths for legal labor circulation across border is key
More and more migrant destination and origin countries are partnering for mutual benefit.

"The question is: what is the alternative?" I told Aaron Ross of @reuters.com. "Do you really think we're headed for a world where, if you don't make these agreements, migration is not going to happen?" —>
In search of economic boost, some African countries send workers abroad
They line up by the hundreds to meet recruiters at schools in provincial towns and convention halls in large cities, some carrying advanced diplomas, others with only a primary education to their name.

Pathetic
The Custom and Border Patrol collects the revenue from tariffs since the XVIII century.
This statement is like "Mexico will pay for the wall" made in 2016. It did not happen.
Worst part is the number of people cheering the news.
