Any other millennial parents relate...? Breaking the cycle of childhood discipline is hard but you if you can't laugh about it what can you do?!

Sometimes, someone throws something out that hits a nerve so irritating to me that if I'm totally honest with myself I put trying to be funny second and my desire to deal with the irritating things come out as top priority.

This is nothing particularly special, so please don’t think I’m sharing this in the online spirit of “gaze upon my brilliance - this is a moment beyond compare.”

It's always very funny seeing online attempts to use London to make a point about immigration or socialism or basic decency having failed. This week with the New York Mayoral election it's been worse than usual so I thought this video would be fun this week.

Continued from last week… we’ve got lovely Steve in the front row who is my favourite kind of guy to have banter with, I think. He’s game for a laugh and he serves stuff back that’s easy to hit for points. He’s not overtaking, he’s fun, he doesn’t seem to have big ego in the room.

Ok... it's been a while! I took a break from posting these while I was getting @the.comedy.bureau launched because to be honest it was all a bit too much work! But I want to get back to it now starting once a week and maybe increasing if I can.

I really enjoyed this for how weird and one off it was, but really it’s all about the guy’s heckle at the end. One of those moments where I’m like “DAMN - I wish I had thought of that.”

I spend most days with my three year old fielding the questions she has about everything under the sun. Some of them are extremely loud and out in public and she has no filter or sense yet of what’s appropriate because society is learned not innate.

Very short one today, and it can be a bit of a pop quiz for regular viewers... what's my big mistake in this video?!

I never wrote this joke. I just told it and it worked. It's been a pretty bullet-proof joke in my set ever since and lovely to have in the back pocket when you turn up in rugby loving New Zealand and need a set that works internationally.

I started doing crowd work clips what I would call "my way" because I feel quite protective over live stand up comedy and I wanted to put something out that shows the breadth of crowd work beyond what usually goes viral.
