Any other millennial parents relate...? Breaking the cycle of childhood discipline is hard but you if you can't laugh about it what can you do?!

Yes! We know you have missed us since the end of series one but never fear because on Thursday we are back with a Working From Home episode where we look through your correspondence and investigate a suggestion from none other than podcast royalty Greg Jenner.

Sometimes, someone throws something out that hits a nerve so irritating to me that if I'm totally honest with myself I put trying to be funny second and my desire to deal with the irritating things come out as top priority.

This is nothing particularly special, so please don’t think I’m sharing this in the online spirit of “gaze upon my brilliance - this is a moment beyond compare.”

The whole is series one is now up and released… what a joy this has been! Actual proper information and joyous nerdery. So proud of it.

It's always very funny seeing online attempts to use London to make a point about immigration or socialism or basic decency having failed. This week with the New York Mayoral election it's been worse than usual so I thought this video would be fun this week.

It’s SUCH a good episode of Lexx Ed this week… if you’ve ever wanted to dip your toe but didn’t know where to start then TRY THIS WEEK. It’s our Halloween special all about the history of blood transfusions and blood…

They say “Dress for the Job You Want” so here I am dressed as an enthusiastic TaskMaster contestant working out the best way to hide 9 pumpkins up her ass

Continued from last week… we’ve got lovely Steve in the front row who is my favourite kind of guy to have banter with, I think. He’s game for a laugh and he serves stuff back that’s easy to hit for points. He’s not overtaking, he’s fun, he doesn’t seem to have big ego in the room.

Ok... it's been a while! I took a break from posting these while I was getting @the.comedy.bureau launched because to be honest it was all a bit too much work! But I want to get back to it now starting once a week and maybe increasing if I can.

Yeah.

Listen… I made a big deal of this when I was long listed because I thought there was very little chance of being shortlisted so I’d use it while I could! Blow me down but I’m shortlisted?! I’m not sure I’ve ever had such a lovely end to the Fringe. Lush to be well thought of. One more show to go!

Oh well for goodness sake send it through I’d love to see a work in progress

Most comperes have their own way of doing the “rules”. You want to make it quick, fun but clear. I use it mainly to help assure the crowd there are breaks so they can hopefully hold their pee breaks and drinks breaks until an interval.

I really enjoyed this for how weird and one off it was, but really it’s all about the guy’s heckle at the end. One of those moments where I’m like “DAMN - I wish I had thought of that.”

I spend most days with my three year old fielding the questions she has about everything under the sun. Some of them are extremely loud and out in public and she has no filter or sense yet of what’s appropriate because society is learned not innate.

Very short one today, and it can be a bit of a pop quiz for regular viewers... what's my big mistake in this video?!

Who was the first stand up comedian?

What is a joke?

Why do humans laugh?

Episodes 1-3 launch September 4th at 7pm.
August 2, 2025 at 8:31 PM
I never wrote this joke. I just told it and it worked. It's been a pretty bullet-proof joke in my set ever since and lovely to have in the back pocket when you turn up in rugby loving New Zealand and need a set that works internationally.

I just wanted to remind you of MY STUFF... for new followers and people who like my videos but have thus far resisted letting me creep into other areas of their lives.

Schrodingers fucking comedian
July 30, 2025 at 5:58 PM
I started doing crowd work clips what I would call "my way" because I feel quite protective over live stand up comedy and I wanted to put something out that shows the breadth of crowd work beyond what usually goes viral.

I’m so sorry to everyone who was coming to my show this evening at Queens Hall Arts in Hexham… my car pulled this little orange beast out on me yesterday and I can’t get there now. I’m so sorry to everyone who had tickets.
