Hello new followers! As you might have guessed from my profile, I wear many hats within the theatre and education sectors. I also have a shiny, new PhD and am always on the prowl for theatre, lecturing, and teaching work. I look forward to hearing about your projects!

ever since I learned about three-cueing I've developed infinitely more patience for replies on social media. mfers literally do not know how to read. people are walking around conjuring random meanings into words they don't know, and they don't know a lot of words. it's crazy

It's notable that the only student speech frequently shut down on university campuses is a) pro-Palestine b) pro-trans-rights. The OfS seems *deeply* unconcerned about that speech being limited. In fact, they want academics who oppose those positions to have the right to 'shock and offend' students.
'He added that students should be able to express any view, no matter how offensive it is to others, as long as it is not outside what is generally allowed by law, such as harassment or unlawful discrimination.'

This part just sounds like an arsehole's charter, a licence to be a nightmare.

The last time he pulled this Muslim ban BS, people rushed into the streets in disgust & lawyers raced to the airports to help. Now, no one’s shocked, everyone is numb… This country is in seriously scary shape

🎤 If the government wants national renewal, they should invest in the arts and culture 🎤

Today, we're launching a petition to remind Rachel Reeves: the arts make our lives happier and our communities stronger. Now is the moment to invest in them 🌱

I’m profoundly sad to say that as of today, I’ll no longer be able to do my job as co-artistic director of #Touretteshero because of a recent decision by #AccessToWork to cut my support by 61%. Read & share this post, the hardest I've had to write: www.touretteshero.com/2025/05/23/a... 1/4

I’m still looking for someone to share my Edfringe digs with.

1-15 August in Leith. It's a 1-bedroom, with a private bedroom and a sofa bed in the living room (I don't mind where I sleep). £1400, so it would be £700 per person for the fortnight.

Shout if interested and feel free to share!

Since the GE, I’ve been saying to anyone that listens that Labour needs to stop pandering to the far right base, and make changes that will improve people’s quality of life, otherwise they’re gonna go full fash and Reform will sweep the next election. So many folks have said that would never happen

For anyone who needs some GOOD news, Nottoway Plantation—burial site of countless victims of the rape, maiming, and slaughter of the formerly enslaved but where white people love to brunch & get married—has burned to the ground.

May the ancestors continue to rest peacefully. Amen.

Labour has a whopping great majority and four years left to turn this country around.

They should be setting the agenda, not chasing about trying to placate voters of a party with five MPs who will never vote for them anyway.

It's not only disappointing... it's embarrassing

A lot has been said about Labour's hardening of immigration rules & dehumanising rhetoric, but nobody is sharing the opinions of migrant workers.

That's why we commissioned Nandi Msezane, a care worker in East Sussex, to write this piece for us. www.thebureauinvestigates.com/stories/2025...
Opinion: Migrant workers prop up the UK’s social care system. Now…
Labour’s crackdown will break a promise made to workers like me – and leave the system in disrepair
