This December seems to be a really hard one for so many of us so here is my strategy: lead with carbs and kindness. Also unlimited swearing and complaining out loud on my solo morning commute and then no more bitching that day. And lots of music.

Been here, done that. People really are working hard. There’s just not enough human beings to do the volume of work.
After spending –no joke –4.5 hours on hold bc State government is understaffed, I then spent a long time on the phone w/ a competent, caring, experienced State employee who helped me immensely. This has generally been my experience with State workers: they’re wonderful heroes, but under-resourced.

According to tsunami.gov, the tsunami warning is in effect between Davenport, California and the Lane County line in Oregon. So basically, most of NorCal.
