Historian Walter Isaacson says the second sentence of The Declaration of Independence is the greatest sentence ever written and explains why in his new book. “That sentence influences everything,” Isaacson tells Ali Velshi. ”Getting people to participate based on that simple mission statement, I think could bring the pendulum back so that we wouldn't be as fractured as we are now,” he said.

West Contra Costa teachers deserve a fair contract!
My family and I have been rallying with teachers every Friday for the past two months at Madera Elementary.
Negotiations have stalled and teachers on the verge of a strike. It was so heartening to see the biggest turnout of families yet today!
