Double entendre title of the week. This book is from 2005 and appears to be from a UK or HK publisher but I really think someone should have told them.

A US senator proposed a wealth cap of $50 million. Some economists said it would either result in little help for the poor, or would hurt the economy further.

This was in *1934*. Can you imagine how much money 50 mill was then, and that there were people who had that much during the *Depression*?

Make it inflatable and Chicago could out-weird Portland.

Go home, Xbox carcassonne, you are drunk and/or unfamiliar with the difference between cities and farms.

I am really looking forward to seeing the rest of Ikea's "Everything Everywhere All at Once" multiverse collection.

Or maybe there are people who see this candlestick and DON'T think it looks like hot dogs?

It's #caturday here in #WarRavagedPortland, where the sunspot is on that rug Chaz likes.

Also he's feeling better now, with no vomiting in the last week.

Who got a set list after tonight's Sparks show? Me, a fan for 3 decades.

At the vet with Chaz who has been vomiting often over the last few days. Most plausible explanation is thyroid issues that can be treated with meds.

I took this pic for the goose sticker, but the Costco hotdog + Jake makes this an ultimate PNW vehicle.

I want to thank @theecoomes.bsky.social,Janet & Swan Dive for the great all-ages Quasi show today. It was inspiring to see teens digging the band, and a 430pm start time was just what my middle-aged ass needed, since I have to work Sunday mornings.

I wish more bands w/members my age would do this.

I will only order #4 on the list if served by a regular human bartender, preferably from Tucson.

I hate to be critical of The Onion, which has given me so much joy both recently and in past decades, but the typography on this tote bag is ass.

Whoever invented attics has a lot to answer for. It's easy to shove empty boxes that you "might need one day" up there, plus boxes of decades old paperwork. Once it goes up, it seldom comes down. Especially when you get elderly enough that climbing stairs is risky and only your adult kids can do it.
