I keep seeing headlines about "not normal" air traffic control staffing, but the reports say they normally go down to only one for those two positions, they just happened to do it 40 minutes early that night because of the little amount of traffic. This is probably not the cause of the crash.

I finished reading Lessons in Chemistry last night. I've seen a lot of conflicting takes on this one, but I loved it. Five stars, for sure.

Do check the content warnings before reading it. It's not a rom-com.

Yes, I'm up at 4 in the morning reading Lancelot Andrews and Augustine. Vance touches on a real traditional Christian principle, but misunderstands it. This "ranking" is based on ability to help others, given that it is impossible to help all. It's about where to focus your limited resources.

I have no words today. Many prayers for those lost, for their families, for the community in Wichita, and for the remaining members of U.S. Figure Skating.

The freeze of federal funding IS CANCELLED.

Why?

BECAUSE PEOPLE PUSHED BACK.

Organizations that rely on funding.
Average Americans.
Apparently, some GOP behind the scenes.

There was a firehose of phone calls.

PUSH. BACK.

AND ANNOUNCE THIS ALL OVER THE DAMN PLACE.
