Oriana Korol—arrested by ICE for playing GHOSTBUSTERS on a clarinet—is incredible, and the kind of ally we need in massive numbers if we’re going to halt this crushing authoritarianism:

In a fight between Pritzker and and police, who is going to win? This is what happens when both parties allowed law enforcement to become one of the most powerful political actors in the country -- a taxpayer-funded political movement that wants to kill people.

I support nonviolent action. It's literally what I do. But telling people that allowing themselves to be harmed to demonstrate the character of their enemy will be politically transformative denies the desensitized reality of the present.

Liberals and Democrats will call for "funding local police" as a way to solve the problem of DHS/ ICE and no one will think about the fact that this is how we got here.

ICE has fired tear gas and pepper balls at protesters outside their Broadview facility. They are terrorizing immigrants across Chicagoland. The time to resist is now. It will only get harder as authoritarianism tightens its grip. Please pay attention to this struggle.
