It is not "attribution and sourcing" to generate post-hoc citations that have not been read and did not inform the student's writing. Those should be regarded as fraudulent: artifacts testifying to human actions and thought that did not occur.

Everyone has their pet company they want to implode and mine is Waymo. They're dangerous, they're police rats, and they further America's reliance on car culture. Foh forever
Waymo is in talks to raise $15B at a valuation of up to $110B which is more than double its $45B valuation in October of 2024.

Given the hype around Tesla’s robotaxis, Waymo has seemed criminally undervalued. It seems that won’t be the case going forward.
Alphabet-owned Waymo in talks to raise $15 billion in funding
The funding round would give Waymo a valuation as high as $110 billion, a person familiar with the matter told CNBC.

I just calculated that streaming one of my favorite albums of the year on Spotify generated less than 50 cents for the artist.

Spotify Wrapped this year tells you how many times you streamed a song. Try it out yourself. Roughly $0.0035 per stream.

I’m gonna go buy that album now…

Very interesting read — “And the future of AI must be built on something other than our broken humanity.”
Today, DWI publishes a powerful essay by @mgasia.bsky.social, who works impersonating an AI sex companion: data-workers.org/michael/

This piece offers a rare glimpse into the psychological and economic realities behind one of the fastest-growing sectors: AI-assisted intimacy.

Spotify has laid off thousands in recent years, while reportedly paying artists $0.003 per stream.

Spotify profits rose 28% in Q3. Its CEO is worth $9.8 billion. It's making money off ICE recruitment ads.

Don't you think it's time put a wrap on corporate greed and exploitation?

Welcome to the Lag Phase, where tech acceleration is a choice, not an inevitability. Where we reset the pace and slow down enough to think and feel again.

We don’t have to accept their terms and conditions. Let’s dream about and build a future we actually want to live in.
