I comb through archival records for information about my ancestors and hope I find a goldmine like maybe a photograph much less any thing more exciting than their actual handwriting. Can you imagine my grandchildren seeing my internet history?

(2/2) What has changed is who that power is being exercised against. Instead of looking abroad, look to Indigenous peoples. We know the depths of what this government is capable of–and how to survive it.

(1/2) I keep seeing people look to Europe (Hungary, Russia, Nazi Germany) for examples of how to fight fascism, when authoritarianism has always been present in US democracy. Since its founding, our government has exercised power over the lands and lives of people who had no say.
