Custom Vertex Streams are probably the biggest trouble people have with shuriken, so here's a little tip to make it easier!

Did you know you can rename the fields in Custom Data? Simply just click on them

Hopefully, that helps you understand how to work with them :)

I've seen quite a few Niagara tutorials for a spiral that alter velocity over time to get the spiral. This has several problems and is less controllable.

Instead, some simple maths.
Theta is (pi * spiral strength)

You can smoothly mix gradients using Distance, Noise, and Power nodes to create a dynamically controllable falloff with texture variation. Replace the Noise node with any texture sample for more customization. Perfect for soft dissolves, fog, or stylized VFX #realtimeVFX #UnrealEngine #gamedev #VFX
