It's partly because of programmes such as RIS2 that we have to spend money retrofitting local streets to try to mitigate the impacts of climate change; but it is something we have to do now anyway.
Works on the 1st section of the #WalthamForest #Flood Resilience Scheme incl. #RainGardens in #WadleyRdE11 is nearing completion. Here's some pics. charting progress. Resurfacing early next wk on this section & works begin on 2nd half later next wk. @wflabour.bsky.social @calvinbailey.bsky.social

Gr8 to get a progress update yesterday on Waltham Forest Councils 12 month #CoffeeCup #Recycling♻️ Scheme operating in our Town Centres across the borough. We’ve collected via our fab barrow crews 0.64 tonnes of used coffee cups- roughly 16,000- to be #recycled♻️ into paper. @wflabour.bsky.social
