Nerdy kid at keyboard: Hi guys, I've noticed that it is International Men's Day today, and I'm confused. Why do we need a day to talk about men? We're not a marginalised group like women, queer people, or people of colour. The media is already full of stories about men. Big buff shirtless dude at keyboard: I'm glad you asked, champ. Whatever your view on men's place in society, it's still true that we face a lot of issues - like social isolation, risk of suicide, health problems, and attitudes towards sex and child rearing. Having a day to talk about those doesn't take away from anyone else's problems. In fact, having a day to talk about them helps us be more mindful, and listen better at other times. Second shirtless buff dude on a couch at his laptop: The chief here is really on to something. I want to echo what he said, and also point out that the idea we should remain silent about our problems actually contributes to a lot of our issues. We are human beings, with human needs. Seeking mutual support and understanding isn't the same thing as placing a burden on others. Especially if we're providing it for each other. Third buff dude at his laptop: Right on, my fellow kings. We've inherited a social legacy of competition and division, and a lot of what makes a man in our era is under question. IMD is a chance for us to examine and rethink what we are together, and build the bonds of solidarity and support that will make a better way possible - like in this meme. Because in our hearts, we're all curious kids and buff guys on keyboards.

I wasn't gonna say anything but some comments have made feel like I have to. I identify as genderfluid, but physically I am cookie cutter basic white guy. I'm lucky to have a sincerely caring and thoughtful community but there are struggles I just don't talk about *because* I'm a man. There are things I'm afraid to talk about because as soon as I do, it's the "frail white guy" bitching about things that don't matter. There are things I don't know how to deal with, but as a man I'm expected to shut up and figure it out on my own, because my problems aren't as important. There are struggles I cannot talk about without having to immediately defend those very struggles. And to see all these remarks in response to IMD, "ew", "why?", "thanks for letting me know who to block" genuinely just reinforces all of that. We do live in a patriarchy, there are groups who have it harder than me, who struggle with things I will never understand. But the patriarchy fucks everyone and one person's struggles don't invalidate some else's. Just because I say I'm hungry doesn't mean the millions who are starving don't matter, and IMD is my one day to say that I'm hungry.

Paypal recently out of no where terminated my account perm, mostly due to my PATREON that is 18+ I know without a doubt it was for this reason as I sent a transfer and it flagged everything on Paypal and caused my termination once they most likely saw it was an 18+ Patreon account. As you know, if you don't.. Payment processors are growing more and more against 18+ creators and finding any way to terminate them, the moment you are on their radar. It's game over and you will lose your account. I never thought this would happen to me, I've been a creator for 5 years and I never had any issues, I'm still shocked and in disbelief but I know without a doubt it was my Patreon. What does this mean for me? For now please do not donate to me as I have no valid working Paypal. I have made the choice of no longer creating 18+ content on my Patreon as I am left with no other choice. I DO NOT Intend to fight these Payment Processors, It's a fight no one can win because we are all at their mercy. Please keep in mind if you really think things like "It's fine, It's not going to happen to me." Please re-think this because this is exactly what I thought as well until it happened to me. It's only a matter of time, protect yourself by all means please don't be naive like I was.

If you are in the US or deal with the US PayPal and your account is randomly, without warning, and without explanation closed down, file a complaint with the BBB!
