So many of us are from countries that have been colonised.

So it’s even more important for us

- to stand in solidarity,

- to show up tomorrow at a protest and

- to start the conversation with the aunties and uncles who repeat the right wing rhetoric they hear in the media.

The deal with liberal democracy is that you get to be yourself so long as you aren’t hurting anyone else.

Trans + gender diverse people should have the freedom to affirm their gender. Healthcare involved in this process should be between the person and their medical specialists, not Barnaby Joyce.

Trans and intersex people exist whether the Coalition wants them to or not. Not everyone is born with XX or XY chromosomes - over 60k Australians were born with variations of sex characteristics.

Also hard to pick a side between Tony and Bec Judd, but Tony was clearly out of line then too

All this handwringing about public sector wages and the pieces never mention the police got a 40% pay rise, and starting salaries will be nearly $100,000. There is money, the government is just choosing to give it to cops instead of doctors and train drivers.
